Biographical Info

Donna Linklater decided not to pursue an opera career when she found out they don’t let you make up your own songs on the operatic stage. Since then, she has released one album “Light of Mind” (Busted Flat Records) as lead singer and songwriter for Toronto quartet “The Billie Hollies”. She also composed the music for a show featuring Susan Swan’s work “Heroines of the Sexual Gothic”, and set the words of various Canadian authors to music for the project “Torn from the Pages”. She is currently working on a solo album and hopes to release it once she figures out how to play guitar.
